Is this treatment suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — The Upkeeper is one of our most accessible treatments. The Korean aqua peel technology uses controlled suction and hydrating serums rather than aggressive mechanical exfoliation, making it gentle and well-tolerated by most skin types, including sensitive skin.
How is this different from a regular hydrafacial?
The Upkeeper uses Korean hydrofacial technology developed in partnership with our Seoul-based partner, Histolab. Our machine uses a blend of potent active ingredients cushioned with centella asiatica — a renowned K-Beauty anti-inflammatory — delivering effective results while keeping skin calm and supported. Does it include extractions?
The Upkeeper includes tool-based extractions using ultrasonic spatula and comedome extractor tool to get out congestion and gunk. At Saelo, we don't do extractions with our hands and won't attempt to extract if we believe it will lead to skin barrier rupture or excessive pain.
