Hi, we’re Kipeum and Brie!
Our journey began with a simple question: “Why isn’t America the skincare capital of the world?” Saelo was conceived in Seoul and born in San Francisco, where we dreamed of making American skincare second to none. We believe skincare shouldn’t be a treat—it should be a habit.
Founder
Brie Pujals
Brie Pujals combines consumer product expertise with the execution to bring bold ideas to life. She spent years at Meta leading Instagram's private messaging product for over 2 billion users, and began her career scaling Postmates from the ground up. A UC Berkeley Haas MBA merit scholar, Brie founded Saelo with a clear mission: to make world-class aesthetic care feel modern, trustworthy, and genuinely personal.
Founder
Kipeum Lee
Informed by firsthand experience at Seoul's leading aesthetic clinics, Kipeum Lee channels her operational expertise and people-first approach into building a medspa experience that's truly exceptional. She built and scaled teams at Airbnb and Postmates, growing operations across hundreds of markets. A UC Davis grad and first-generation Korean American, Kipeum’s cleft palate journey introduced her early to medical aesthetic treatments in Seoul. Saelo is, in many ways, a tribute to her younger self—who didn’t yet know that her experience would one day help shape care for thousands of others.
Medical Director
Dr. Christopher Chow
Dr. Christopher Chow, DDS, MD, oversees our provider team and anchors our commitment to safe, high-quality care. He holds degrees in Biomedical Engineering (UC Davis), Dentistry (University of the Pacific), and Medicine (UT Houston), where he completed a six-year OMFS residency with a focus on aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. Before medicine, he fought wildland fires and worked at his family's doughnut shop. He lives in Petaluma with his wife Annie and their two kids.
